In addition to the financial support IA has provided to numerous local charities over the years, we are also proud of the fact that several of our employees including our property and personal insurance brokers have donated in excess of 600 hours a year of their own personal time to many local charities, including:

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP)
Walk and chair the Montgomery County Out of the Darkness Community Walk held every fall, raises funds to go towards research, advocacy, and education in the state of Maryland. AFSP’s mission is to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide
American Red Cross
GO-Team – Pope’s DC Visit (crowd safety/1st aid), Home Fire Campaign – leading teams to install smoke alarms in at risk neighborhoods, assisted emergency shelter operations during “Snowzilla” blizzard, Disaster Action Team Trainee
Children’s Tumor Foundation
Ran in race, raised funds for foundation
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Leads a fundraising team that donates $4,000-$5,000 yearly to CF research
FACETS
Provides hot meals to the homeless of Fairfax County quarterly
Fairfax Volunteer Fire Dept
9 year member, Certified EMT-B, Former firefighter, Fundraises/training/community safety
Food for Others
Partner with Travelers and The Hartford. IA employees volunteer every other month sorting and packaging food at the largest distributor of free food in Northern Virginia.
Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB) Morale, Welfare and Recreation
Trained and participated in the Navy/Army half marathon to support the retention, readiness, mental, physical, and emotional well-being of our active duty personnel and Department of Defense employees.
MD Special Olympics
Led Polar Bear team for fundraiser 3 years to date
Mental Health Association
Call specialist. Answers calls from people who are suicidal, in crisis, struggling with mental health or life issues. The volunteers answer more than 16,000 calls, texts, and chats. Program touches many people in the community who are in need of empathetic listeners.
Operation Homefront
Provides emergency assistance programs for our service members

West Potomac Rugby Football Club
